Break your 'busy' and do more.

“Thoe who are wise won’t be busy, and those who are too busy can’t be wise.” ― Lin Yutang It seems to be the normal response these days - “How have you been?” - “Busy”. We are all 'busy' with life and everything that happens on a daily basis. But how does one person seem to do many things and thrive whilst others barely get anything done and complain they are 'busy' to do anything else. (By busy that includes the important stuff like urgent Facebook scrolling, Instagram liking and hours lost on YouTube videos/vines) Let's get really clear on one thing... We ALL have 24 hours per day. No matter how much money you have, this commodity is not available for purchase. The likelihood of achieving perfect balance in this 24 hours is very low... because life changes all the time. Instead let's be more optimal with what we do in our day.

I am not saying what you do is not important or isn't overwhelming for you, BUT if you don't have the results you want or wish you were doing something else or certain things but yet each day never seem to happen... would you rather continue this cycle OR drop those lame excuses, be smarter and do more of what you want? I've used some key points to optimise my lifestyle to turn BUSY into PRODUCTIVE. While having a full time job, having soccer 3-4 times a week, gym, study, a business, begin to launch another business, online org calls, run a mastermind, run a blog, cook, clean, socialise like a normal person, travel often and be able to read every day... As opposed to friends I see and hear who work a job, some study, go clubbing and normal social activities and say they have no time for anything.

Now I did not share my lifestyle to impress you, but rather impress upon you that you can do more of what you want. The question is are you busy being busy or can you optimise your day to get more done and multiply your time and be more efficient?

Here are just 5 daily optimization's you can utilise instantly:

1. Bed at 10 up at 5 > Of course this can change but I find (and highly successful people also do) that this works for me. So get some much needed Z's and get up before everyone else and get things done. 2. Write a to do list > do it just before bed and number it. In the morning read it and put it in your wallet or somewhere it will be visible. See if you can get 90 in a row. (if you miss a day go back to 1) 3. Have a Jumbo calendar > one you can write on and see everyday. Not digital. 4. Turn off the TV > Suits and gossip girl will be there after your work is done. This is useless time distracting from your goals. 5. Morning Meditation > YouTube “Headspace meditation take 10” easy 10 minutes to focus and become aware so you can do more! Remember, You can choose to be unbusy. You have determine what you do and have full say in the matter. Choose to be effective, happy and live a great life!! Your potential is Infinite.
